*The Dues Check-Off ($3.43) is included in the hourly wage. Once taxed, it is to be deducted and

 

remitted as part of the hourly stamp purchase.

 

**The Vacation Fund amount is to be added to the hourly wage rates for tax purposes. It is then

 

deducted and sent with other fringe benefit contributions to the Union Fund office.

 

SURETY BOND

 

A Surety Bond to guarantee payment of wages and fringe benefits is required as

 

follows:

 

1 to 9 laborers = Not less than $5,000

 

Over 10 laborers = Minimum of $10,000

 

NOTE: Sub-contractors must have an agreement with Union. Employer is

 

responsible for sub-contractor living up to this Agreement, including checking with the

 

Union as to whether the sub has paid all wages, fringes and dues check-off.

 

FOREMAN:

 

Required when 5 or more Laborers’ are employed and will perform Laborer duties.

 

When 8 or more Laborers’ are employed, Foreman shall not perform Laborer duties.

 

Foreman shall receive a weekly salary and not less than $35.00 per day above

 

Laborers’ daily rate.

 

ASSISTANT FOREMAN: (When 140 or more Laborers on a job)

 

Assistant Foreman shall receive a weekly salary and not less than $25.00 per

 

day above Laborers’ daily rate

 

GENERAL BUILDING LABORERS LOCAL #66 CON’T

 

WORK HOURS:

 

7 hour day

 

35 hour week

 

(8:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m. )

 

1/2 hour lunch option

 

If required to start 10 minutes early when tending Bricklayers, allowed 10 minutes

 

at the end of the day.

 

When working with Dock Builders of Operating Engineers, to be paid regular

 

rate of pay for hour following the end of their regular hours of employment, or any part

 

thereof, whenever Dock Builders or Operating Engineers shall be working during

 

such hour or part thereof at their respective rages of pay.

 

East of Wading River, the tending of Plasterers shall be under the jurisdiction of

 

Local #66 when Plasterers from Local #759 are not available. However, when

 

tending Plasterers, the wages shall be the same as Plasterers Tenders Local #759.

 

The hours shall be the same as Local #759 also.

 

OVERTIME:

 

Excess of 7 hours in any one day

 

Excess of 35 hours in any week

 

Monday through Saturday = time and one half

 

Lunch, Sundays and Holidays = Double time

 

HOLIDAYS (Non paid)

 

New Year’s Day Fourth of July Thanksgiving Day

 

Washington’s Birthday Labor Day Christmas Day

 

Memorial Day

 

If job or employee require religious holiday other than above, holiday shall be

 

non-paid, provided 5 days’ written notice is given to Union prior to holiday.

 

Foreman and Assistant Foreman receive paid holidays for those occuring

 

Monday thru Friday.

 

SHIFT WORK: If 3 shifts are requried for at least 3 or more consecutive

 

24 hour periods: The shifts are 7 1/2 hours (exclusive of meal) paid 8 hours at

 

straight time. Union shall appoint Shop Steward for each shift.
